VALO's Silica fume is a by-product of Silicon metal and Ferrosilicon. It is an ultrafine powder applied in concrete to improve its properties.
The primary purpose of applying the material in concrete is to use its reactive particles to produce a denser cement matrix.
During the cement hydration process, the silica reacts with the available lime of the cement to Calcium-hydrated silicate, a durable and volume-consistent composite.
Silica Fume can be applied as a powder or liquefied as a slurry. It increases the compressive strength and reduces the permeability of the concrete, providing a more durable and sustainable product.
Silica Slurry is a high-quality suspension consisting of silica fume, water and especially designed additives.

Because the Micro Silica powder could not properly disperse in the concrete, but the liquid form does because the microparticles don’t gather with each other. Hence, the silica slurry has 50% solid content and can perform more excellently than the powder form of Micro Silica.
