Product Description
Grounded Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) is a byproduct from the blast furnaces used to make iron. The major use of GGBFS is in ready-mixed concrete. In the production of ready-mixed concrete, GGBFS replaces a substantial portion of the normal Portland cement content, generally about 50%, but sometimes up to 70% or more. The higher the proportion, the better the durability.
GGBFS is also used in other concrete production. Different mixing ratios of products can produce concrete with different characteristics.
As a new admixture for high-performance concrete, GGFBS can replace cement in various kinds of concrete and cement products equally.
Benefits:
Enhanced compressive strength
Increases abrasion resistance
Increases resistance to chloride-induced corrosion
Increases resistance to sulphate and acid attack
Mitigation of alkali-silica reaction (ASR)
Reduced the heat of hydration for mass concrete
Significantly enhances long-term durability
Lighter color for architectural concrete
Reduced water demand for equivalent workability
Enables low-carbon, high-performance concrete
Applications:
High-Performance Concrete (HPC), Ultra-High- Performance Concrete (UHPC)
Mass Concrete (Dams, Large Foundations) and Precast Concrete
Shotcrete. Oil Well Cementing and Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC)
Marine & Corrosion-Resistant Concrete, 3D Printing Concrete
